Victorian Container Deposit Scheme

You can be an eco-warrior by collecting your recyclable bottles and donating them to one of the many Victorian container deposit centres.

Drop your eligible bottles and containers off at a registered CDS location. Then just use our CDS code C2000009528 or look for our logo on the donation screen.

See how many bottles and containers your class can collect in a month! You might even want to start a little friendly competition between year levels. There’s no telling the impact you could make!

Gift of Choice

Give someone the gift of choice. 

When you donate a gift card, you’re allowing people in need to choose the support they need most. People’s experiences of homelessness are all very different, but at its core, being homeless is about absence. Especially an absence of choice. 

Move with Heart

Does your school have a sports carnival coming up? Maybe you’re a future Olympian in the making, or you may have dreams of breaking a world record.  

Whatever your next big activity is – you can use it as an opportunity to raise life changing funds for people in need.

Who are Sacred Heart Mission?

Sacred Heart Mission has been providing support to some of the most disadvantaged in our community for the last 40 years. Sacred Heart Mission provides a sense of community, a warm meal and support daily to anyone experiencing homelessness and disadvantage or in need of assistance.

Fundraising by schools helps us run essential drop-in services like our Dining Hall, Women’s House and programs that help lift people out of homelessness and poverty.

Create Your Fundraising Page

Set up your fundraising page here online and personalise it with photos and all your event details. Let people know why raising funds for Sacred Heart Mission is important to you!

Share, share, share!

  • Social Media: Use Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and all your fave socials to spread the word and get people excited to support you!
  • Group Chats, texts and emails: Send direct messages to your friends and classmates with all the event info and a link to donate.
  • Posters and Flyers: Design cool posters and flyers to display around your school or campus. Include a QR code to your fundraising page!
  • Word of Mouth: Chat with teachers, clubs, and student groups about your event.

Prepare for the Big Day

Make sure everything is ready for your event—whether it’s booking the venue, arranging equipment, or organizing volunteers. If it’s virtual, test the technology ahead of time to avoid any issues.

Post reminders to keep people excited and updated about how much has been raised so far.

Thank your supporters!

Make sure to let your supporters know how grateful you are. You can thank them directly via your fundraising page or send thank you emails and messages along the way.
